Growfair WINS 2 categories at the Grower of the Year Awards 2010:

Brand History
Bristol Fruit Sales launced their Growfair brand in April 2008 with Pride of Cornwall, which has been followed by Pride of Devon and Pride of Wales in the summer of 2009.
Growfair is a premium brand delivering the finest locally grown fresh produce throughout the year that customers can relate to as being authentically grown within their county.
As an overarching brand Growfair supports an expanding portfolio of products and fosters ethical win-win relationships with local vegetable, fruit and salad growers. In return for their commitment a fair and consistent price is given.
A lot of growers have been disillusioned by poor financial returns, often below their break even costs. Something has to be done as the industry can’t survive like this. A few years down the line there simply won’t be any more local growers, and an integral part of our heritage will be lost. By communicating properly and working together with growers, the Growfair brand has been established to promote local farmers and the fantastic crops they grow.
Logistically Growfair produce is picked up directly from local farms upon return from delivery runs, using our temperature controlled vehicles that operate daily. It is then brought back to company depots where it is quality control checked, before being dispatched to our customers who include catering, secondary wholesalers and retail markets.
Not only is Growfair delivered throughout Cornwall, Devon & Wales, but using our own internal transport infrastructure it can be distributed into provincial markets such as Bristol, Birmingham, London, Southampton and Cardiff.
