Having celebrated their 50th year of trading in 2007, Bristol Fruit Sales continue to go from strength to strength and were delighted in 2009 to be adjudged the award for Fresh Produce Wholesaler of the year at the ‘Re:fresh Awards Dinner’ held in Grosvenor square, London.

Not only were the company named ‘Wholesaler of the Year’ but they also walked away with the prestigious ‘Overall Produce Trader of the Year’ award a category in which they were competing with such luminaries as Somerfield PLC, JP Fruit Distributors and A. Gomez & Co.

To receive such recognition was a fantastic achievement for a company with such humble beginnings but one that directors Robert Smith, Steve Payne and Nick Matthews are extremely keen to build on.

Bristol Fruit Sales firmly believe that the key to a successful future is a public committed to a healthy diet and lifestyle and are proud to be associated with both the Department of Health's 5 a day campaign and Free Fruit for Schools initiative.

Inherent in the continued success of the company is a culture of quality that is evident in the fact that Bristol Fruit Sales have been awarded Higher Level status by the British Retail Consortium’s independent Pro-Check auditors for the last five consecutive years.
